Hello Darling,
I wrote to you once already today, you know!! when I was out in the field, any way hon I think I made a mistake on the date, and put the 19th down instead of the 20th, just a minor mistake, ha, ha, Honey I got your letter today, you know that awfully lone one – (ahem) there I go again saying you know, think I’ll ever get over that habit. that letter was a killer it took me about ten minutes to read it ha, ha, honey I know sometimes its hard to write when there isn’t anything to write about, but honey even if its just a few lines, I love to hear from you cause now honey your letters, make me feel as tho I was there right with you, so keep it up kid even tho its just a few lines. O.K.? I also got your card, I’ll bet that’s really a swell place, we’ll have to go there sometime, (huh)
After we got back today we had to wash and clean our Howitzers, then we went to chow, and did I ever stack it away, so after chow I took a shower and now I’m writing to you, pretty good what!!
Honey I love you, remember I told you if I didn’t have much to write about that I would write (I love you) all through the letter, so how am I doing nut not bad huh,
Tell Jimmy I said hello! he’s coming down from San Francisco isn’t he? Tell him I hope that he makes out O.K., You know something honey? well – I sure have a honey of a gal, and is she ever loveable, I could hug her to pieces, (don’t mention nothing) ha, ha,
Hon the boys, I mean Brennan and Butler want to go to the P.X. so I guess I’ll cut this short hon. I could do with a nice cold coke, man we can sure know em out too.
Say hello to all for me, and darling I love you, and I want to be with you more than any thing.
Love,
Bob
