Do Write Soon

April 30 1943.

Dearest Mary:

Gee kido I’m going to cut this plenty short, cause the truck is waiting to take me out in the field, this is the first chance I’ve had to write cause we’ve been out there for four days now, I had to come in this morning to go to school.

Mary, I haven’t heard from you over a week now, if I have said something to make you sore, I’m sorry. or maybe it’s the mail. I don’t know, but I do wish you would write and tell me if I did. This afternoon we are going to fire again, but I’m so disgusted with the ways things are going here, it really doesn’t thrill me anymore.

Yesterday I rode in a jeep for the first time, tomorrow when we come in, I’ll have a little time to spare and I’ll tell you all about it. O.K.?

Do write soon.

Love,

Bob

Tell you folks hello for me.
